Rationale

SIERR Update 2025 will take attendees on an in-depth exploration of the key stages in In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) treatment, with a particular focus on essential areas such as gamete retrieval and selection, embryo culture, cryopreservation, and genetic testing. In collaboration with prominent embryology societies—including ASEBIR (Asociación para el Estudio de la Biología de la Reproducción), SPMR (Sociedade Portuguesa de Medicina da Reprodução), and GRACE (Greek Association of Clinical Embryologists)—this event has been carefully crafted to present the most recent advancements, ongoing challenges, and evidence-driven practices within the field. The program offers a unique platform for scientific exchange, bringing together leading embryologists, clinicians, and researchers specializing in assisted reproductive technologies (ART).
The meeting will foster collaboration and open dialogue through the sharing of survey results and interactive discussion panels. These sessions are designed to stimulate critical debates and encourage the development of a globally accepted approach to address the most pressing challenge in ART today: improving patient success rates in IVF procedures.
By the end of the meeting, participants will be better equipped to make informed decisions regarding the intricate details of IVF laboratory techniques. Attendees will gain practical insights into how to enhance laboratory performance, stay up to date with the latest best practices, and refresh their knowledge of essential skills required to optimize IVF outcomes. A key emphasis will be placed on the importance of precision, meticulous attention to detail, and continuous professional development, which are all fundamental to achieve the highest possible success in IVF treatments. Through this collaborative and dynamic learning experience, participants will leave with the tools necessary to elevate their practice and contribute to the ongoing evolution of IVF technology.
